Nenagh Library oversees the launch of the local history book ‘Nursing and Midwifery in the Poor-Law Unions of Borisoken and Nenagh, 1882 – 1922’.
Written by Lisa McGeeney, a registered nurse, midwife and public health nurse, who received a master’s degree in local history from the University of Limerick in 2020, the book examines the development of nursing and midwifery through the late 19th century. 20th century.
