There is good news for medical students preparing for medical in Chhattisgarh. This year 4 new government medical colleges will be opened in the state. Land has been found for the college in Kawardha and Janjgir-Champa. On the other hand, land is being searched in Manendragarh and Dantewada. The Medical Education Department has also sent a proposal to the government for all the four colleges. In the coming days, its information will also be sent to the National Medical Commission.
The central government will provide 60 percent of the funds for the construction of these colleges. With the opening of 4 new medical colleges, the number of MBBS seats in the state will increase from 1820 to 2320. To increase the MBBS seats in Chhattisgarh, the central government is opening new medical colleges in other states including Chhattisgarh.
NEET cut-off score has dropped in the state
In the last 2 years, 5 new medical colleges have been opened in Chhattisgarh. In this, 725 MBBS seats have increased. The advantage of this is that the cut-off has fallen. For the first time, a candidate with NEET score 580 has been admitted in Raipur. Admission has also been done in other colleges with 510 marks.
