Health and Family Welfare Minister Ma Subramanian on Monday said Chief Minister MK Stalin will release medical and engineering books in Tamil on January 16.
He was speaking after laying the foundation stone of new buildings worth Rs 11 crore for the Center for Integrated Health Research, Postpartum and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Cuddalore District Government Medical College Hospital on Monday.
“13 medical books were translated into Tamil, including a book on surgery, translated by a young doctor from this medical college. 10 books on engineering were also translated and the Chief Minister would release them at a function at the Chennai Book Fair on January 16.
The minister said that to prevent the spread of Covid, instructions have been given to keep an eye on the people coming from the airports. “We have got permission to start 25 new urban primary health centers across Tamil Nadu. Since Cuddalore is regularly getting affected by natural calamities, two UPHCs will be opened at Manjakolai and Orankur,” the minister said.
